The Biochemistry and Molecular Biology C2000 Resources Basic Science Guides page is designed to support the three objective areas defined by the curriculum.

  • Knowledge and self-directed learning
  • Clinical reasoning
  • Interpersonal and group skills

For more information concerning these objectives see PBL: A Student Guide.

As your tutor group works through a Problem-Based Learning Module, learning issues will be developed. Some groups are better at this than others. Some groups lose focus from time-to-time and important issues are lost in the shuffle.

In order to foster your ability to develop learning issues and build a knowledge base in biochemistry, including cell and molecular biology, we have been developing online guides to selected topics.

The Basic Science Guides are designed for online use.

The Basic Science Guides are not optimized for printing hard copies (i.e., very many pages in printed form).
