1974-77  National Cancer Institute Research Grant--"Glycosyltransferases and Contact Inhibition" - $59,000 (Southern Illinois University)

1990 Apple Computer Finishing Grant (approximately $35,000) to produce an authoring shell for clinical reasoning skills development cases to be distributed to US and Canadian medical schools (co-investigator with H. Myers)

1990 Department of Commerce and Community Affairs Grant ($30,000) to assist in the commercial development of computer scored clinical cases to teach and evaluate clinical reasoning skills in pre-clinical medical students (co-investigator with H. Myers)

1995  Research Grant ($2,000) from Southern Illinois Hospital Services Corp. to develop a diagnostic survey to identify victims of domestic violence
