The faculty are welcoming, enthusiastic, and committed to both outstanding patient care and education. Why SIU: The dermatology program at SIU offers great clinical training, dedicated faculty, and residents who love being a part of the program. As a rotating medical student, it was evident that the residents and faculty enjoyed working with each other and teaching medical students. A major strength of the program is the monthly dermatology clinics that preliminary medicine interns attend during clinic week. This allows residents to learn about the clinic workflow in addition to feeling like part of the program from day one of intern year.
