About me
Joshua Camins, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at SIU School of Medicine. He completed general training in clinical psychology at Sam Houston State University and the Memphis VA Medical Center. He went on to complete specialized training in forensic psychology at Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center and Mendota Mental Health Institute. Dr. Camins’ research broadly focuses on the intersection of military and forensic psychology.
Dr. Camins accepts a range of forensic evaluations through the department of psychiatry. He provides comprehensive services including record review, clinical interviews, psychological testing, and report writing. His reports have been accepted in state and federal courts and he has testified in multiple jurisdictions. When not providing forensic services, Dr. Camins offers a range of evidence-based psychotherapies and psychological assessment services.
