Welcome to the website of the SIU Medicine Office of Regional Programs!
As the Assistant Provost of Clinical and External Affiliations, I would like to welcome you to browse the information included here in order to learn more about SIU's service region. As you will see, we have regional staff dedicated to serving 66 rural and urban counties in central and southern Illinois. SIU's regional staff are charged to collaborate with local partners in order to address the SIU service region's health and health care needs. I would welcome you to learn more about the background and experience of our regional staff members, projects they are working on, councils and boards they serve on, and consider contacting them if you have questions or an interest in partnering with SIU Medicine. Thanks for visiting us and we look forward to seeing you soon throughout central and southern Illinois!Lori Williams has spent 22 years working on behalf of rural health, community, and economic development in Illinois. She spent 14 years in state government working in the Office of the Governor, Office of the Lieutenant Governor, and as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Rural Affairs Council. Since leaving state government in 2004, Lori has served as the Executive Director of the Illinois Rural Health Association, Vice President of Membership for the Illinois Hospital Association and currently is the Assistant Provost of Clinical and External Affiliations at SIU School of Medicine.
