Chris Bejcek, MD
Hometown: Kalamazoo, MI
Undergraduate: Michigan State University
Medical School: Central Michigan University College of Medicine
About Me: I have two siblings and love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy being outdoors in my free time whether hunting, fishing, or gardening/bonsai. I also spend my time outside of orthopaedics working out and reading.
Why I Chose SIU Ortho: I chose SIU for a few reasons. I wanted to be close to my friends and family in the Midwest. I felt as though the camaraderie within the residency and between the residents and attendings was unmatched. Lastly, I felt as though the SIU orthopeadics department and residency program best fit my background and the goals I have for myself.
David Forgas, MD
Undergraduate: Western Illinois University
Medical School: Southern Illinois University School of Medicine
About Me: I love spending time with my wife, family, friends, and my dog. In my spare time, I love to jog, restore/build furniture, play/watch basketball, and watch college football or professional football.
Why I Chose SIU Ortho: Having spent most of my life in the Central Illinois area, I wanted to have the opportunity to pursue the field of Orthopaedic Surgery, and to help those that I have spent my life around at the same time. It is an incredible experience to help those in the community that you've grown up in to regain the opportunities once lost in their lives.
