External Relations

Welcome

Welcome to the Office of External Relations, led by Associate Provost of External Relations Lori Williams. It’s our honor to help position SIU School of Medicine as the regional leader in health care and community health—an organization that is deeply committed to central and southern Illinois. Through our health programs, outreach and partnerships, we help our neighbors see and experience SIU School of Medicine’s immense contributions to the region. The Office of External Relations is focused on community relations, regional programs, clinical outreach, and advocacy to establish strong relationships with outside constituencies and build broad understanding of SIU School of Medicine’s contributions to the populations within the 66 counties of Illinois we serve. Departments and offices within the Office of External Relations are responsible for cultivating partnerships, developing socially accountable programs, and developing ambassadors that can help to expand the reach of SIU School of Medicine.
