
Kimberly Powell, MD
About
Kimberly Powell, MD, is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She is also a member of SIU HealthCare, the medical school’s group practice. Before joining SIU, Powell worked as a general pediatric hospitalist at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where she also completed a pediatric critical care fellowship (2016). She completed a residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia after earning her medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine (2011, 2008). Powell earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Chicago (2004). Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
