Marcela Rodriguez, MD

Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics - Infectious Diseases


Dr. Marcela Rodriguez is an associate professor of pediatrics at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, specializing in infectious disease.   She also is a member of SIU HealthCare, the medical school’s practice group. Rodriguez completed a three-year fellowship in pediatric infectious disease at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (2011).  She completed her pediatric residency at SIU (2008) and her medical degree at Libre University in Cali, Colombia (2001). Dr. Rodriguez is board certified in pediatrics and in infectious disesases by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. A native of Colombia, she is married and has two children.
