About

Dr. Marcela Rodriguez is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, specializing in infectious disease.   She also is a member of SIU HealthCare, the medical school’s practice group. Rodriguez recently completed a three-year fellowship in pediatric infectious disease at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (2011).  She completed her pediatric residency at SIU (2008) and her medical degree at Libre University in Cali, Colombia (2001). Rodriguez is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. A native of Colombia, she is married to Gustavo Mosquera and has one child.
