    About me

    Dr. Ryan Majcina is an associate professor of clinical pediatrics at SIU School of Medicine, specializing in the care of critically ill children in the hospital.

    Before joining SIU, Dr. Majcina worked as a pediatric critical care physician at Mercy Children's Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He completed a pediatric critical care fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, and a pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He earned a medical degree from SIU School of Medicine and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame.

    He is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
