David Kotowski, RN

David Kotowski joined the SIU School of Medicine as Trauma Program Manager in December 2002. He received his Registered Professional Nurse education from Lincoln Land Community College and holds certifications in Trauma Nurse Specialist, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic, Emergency Communication Registered Nurse, Advanced Trauma Life Support Course Coordinator and Trauma Nurse Course Coordinator.

Prior to moving into the SITC Trauma Clinical arena, Dave served as the Trauma Program Manger for SITC from December 2002 May 2010. Dave now provides Trauma Resident support services and focuses on trauma patient resuscitation. David enjoys participating in trauma nursing education and system development. When not working he enjoys his Boxers (dogs), swimming and research activities.
