The Academy for Scholarship in Education provides faculty, staff and learners with a versatile platform for collaboration, education and educational research.
Welcome to the Academy, a school within the School of Medicine. It offers resources for professional development ─ training, educational inquiry and evaluations ─ to departments, small groups and individuals. The Academy ensures members have access to the tools they need to be successful educators and researchers.
Dr. Boyung Suh is a Co-Director of Professional Development at cHOP as well as the Director of the Academy for Scholarship in Education at SIU School of Medicine.
He earned a Ph.D. in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development at the University of Georgia. He holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit Organizations and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Before, he worked with World Vision Korea as a corporate strategy manager and also worked with LG Electronics as an overseas marketing manager.
Dr. Andrew Sanghyun Lee is an Assistant Professor of Medical Education and Assistant Director of the Academy for Scholarship in Education at SIU School of Medicine.
Dr. Lee holds a Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Human Resource Development, as well as an M.S. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His previous experience includes research roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at SIU School of Medicine and administrative roles, involving project management and organizational leadership across diverse sectors like the Republic of Korea Army, Human Resource Development Service of Korea, and Boston Consulting Group.
