Consistent with the mission of SIU School of Medicine, we are dedicated to assisting patients and families who may be affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions through patient care in our Memory and Aging Clinic, education, research, and service to the community. The SIU Memory and Aging Clinic provides complete memory and cognitive assessment, treatment, education, referral and counseling services to patients and their families.  Ongoing research and teaching activities complement our clinical services, allowing us to provide the latest and most optimal medical care in the region Consistent with Illinois Public Act 90-0404 (Sec. 4.) that has established us as one of three State Alzheimer’s Disease Assistance Centers, we sponsor a Memory and Aging Network (formerly called our Primary Provider Program) to extend our reach to 32 sites in predominantly rural Illinois PLEASE SEE THE PROVIDER SITES drop down under About Us tab at the top.  Additionally we provide training in dementia care, maintain centralized data collection, and sponsor programs of research that qualify for federal financial participation.
