Since 1974, SIU Diagnostic Radiology has been ACGME-accredited. Upon completion of their training, our diagnostic radiologists are prepared to enter a fellowship, private practice, or academics. Residents spend their first year in Internal Medicine, including two months in Diagnostic Radiology rotations. The second through fifth years are spent in radiology. There are two teaching hospitals - Memorial Medical Center and HSHS St. John's Hospital.
Springfield Clinic and CIRA support SIU Radiology's hybrid program. A wide range of radiology aspects will be covered. Our residents have access to high-end procedures and diagnostic studies that are typically not available at other institutions.
