A smaller sized program with plenty of opportunities with good amount of subspecialty representation. A group of residents who are close to each other and always willing to help each other out. Experienced faculty who have a deep interest in the education of the residents. Springfield has a small town feel although it is easily accessible to Chicago and St Louis. Close to my family in the Midwest.
