About me
Anwar Shafi, M.D., is an associate professor of clinical pediatrics at SIU School of Medicine, specializing in pediatric pulmonology and pediatric sleep medicine. He established a Sleep Study Program for SIU Medicine and facilitates pediatric sleep studies for St. John’s Hospital and Memorial Medical Center. Shafi completed a pediatric residency at Lincoln Medical Center in Bronx, New York, initially a part of New York Medical College and later affiliated with Cornell University. He completed a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY. Prior to joining SIU, Dr. Shafi was Chief of the Department of Pediatrics in Dawadami, Riyadh SA and in SIUT, a tertiary care center in Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Shafi is board certified in pediatric pulmonology and pediatric sleep medicine.
