Why they chose SIU
I chose SIU because of the camaraderie among the residents, support from the attending faculty, and the operative experience. We get early operative experience through the mentorship model, and working one-on-one with attendings in each subspecialty gives us a diverse operative experience. Additionally, being able to do my residency training close to family and friends is a huge plus as well.
