    About me

    Dr. Suh is an assistant professor of medical education at SIU School of Medicine, Springfield, IL. He earned a Ph.D. in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development at the University of Georgia. He holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit Organizations and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Before, he worked with World Vision Korea as a corporate strategy manager and also worked with LG Electronics as an overseas marketing manager. His passion for organizational capacity development, particularly nonprofit organizations, prompted him to pursue his graduate degrees. 

    Dr. Suh is a Co-Director of Professional Development at cHOP as well as the Director of the Academy for Scholarship in Education at SIU School of Medicine. 

    To contribute to the innovation of undergraduate medical education (UME) through educational consultancy, Dr. Suh serves as a Year 2 Problem-Based Learning group tutor and as a member of the Continuous Quality Improvement Group, the Educational Policy Council, and the Year 1 through 3 Curriculum Advisory Committees (CACs). He also serves as a member of the Year 3 CAC Faculty and Resident Development Sub-Committee to align cHOP PD Pillar’s initiatives with both UME and Graduate Medical Education (GME) strategies (e.g., fostering a coaching culture at SIU SOM through enhancing faculty members and residents’ ability to give good feedback to medical students).

    Dr. Suh’s research and PD initiative topics include reflective capacity, organization development, and inter-organizational collaboration. And, he is working on how to build a trustful relationship with those he loves and how to prioritize work and life objectives.
