About me
Duda Kvitsiani is a neuroscientist in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at SIU School of Medicine, specializing in animal decision-making.
His research focuses on uncovering the neural computations that drive adaptive choices in animals. The long-term goal of his lab is to understand how specific cell types in prefrontal circuits process environmental statistics to generate adaptive decisions. Additionally, his work aims to explore how these computations become disrupted in mental disorders and to identify the underlying causes of maladaptive behaviors.
