Power Differentials: Good or Evil?

Dawn DeFraties is the Founder and Executive Director of the Office of Correctional Medicine at SIU School of Medicine.  She is a Certified Correctional Health Professional with the National Commission on Correctional Health Care, a 2024 Dr. Kenniebrew Trailblazer award winner and a fierce advocate for quality healthcare.

Those participating in this activity will be able to:

Define and gain insight into power differentials.
Recognize the difference between personal power and role power.
Identify the connection between power differential and ethics.
Understand the value of power differentials.
