Jacob Monsivais, PA-C

Jacob Monsivais, PA-C is a Physician Assistant in the Neuroscience Institute and part of their Multidisciplinary Spine Care team. Jacob’s clinical practice focuses on evaluating and treating patients with acute or chronic neck pain, back pain, or spinal injuries. Jacob is also the Director of Physician Assistant Services at SIU Healthcare.

Jacob first joined SIU Medicine in 2010 as a new PA graduate working in Orthopedic Spine Surgery. After a successful first year of practice with SIU he spent the next year exploring his options closer to family in Utah. Although grateful for his opportunities and experiences in Utah, he was excited to rejoin SIU Medicine and the division of Orthopedic Surgery in 2012. In 2018 Jacob transitioned his spine care practice from the division of Orthopedic Surgery to the Neuroscience Institute as part of their new Multidisciplinary Spine Care team.

Jacob received his Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Utah Valley University and his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University. Jacob is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
