    About me

    Dr. Kendra Woods is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at SIU School of Medicine. She is also a member of SIU HealthCare, the medical school’s group practice. Before joining SIU, Dr. Woods worked as a pediatric intensivist at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA, and at Mercy Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She completed a pediatric critical care fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (2017) where she was chief fellow.  She completed a pediatric residency also at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (2013) where she was chief resident (2014).  She earned her medical degree at SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, IL (2010). She graduated valedictorian with a bachelor’s degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO (2006). She is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine.  She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
