    About me

    Dr. Laura Carrihill Healy is an Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Her clinical scope is broad and includes the treatment of carotid artery disease, aortic diseases including aneurysms, thoracic outlet syndrome, and peripheral vascular diseases which she treats with both endovascular and/or open techniques.

    Dr. Healy earned her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University before going on to medical school at Ross University. She completed her general surgery residency, a research fellowship, and her vascular surgery training at the University of Connecticut. She received multiple awards during training, including the Robert Warren Painter, MD Memorial Award, given for excellence in academics, teaching, and clinical care and the Anthony S. Morgan Trauma Award.

    Dr. Healy is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, the Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Society, and the International Society for Women Vascular Surgeons. She serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Vascular Society and has authored a multitude of peer-reviewed articles.

    Dr. Healy is accepting new patients in Springfield and Decatur.
