    About me

    Dr. Ruebhausen completed his medical school and residency at SIU School of Medicine. After two years in private practice, he moved to Decatur and joined the faculty of the Institute for Plastic Surgery at SIU. He is working full-time in Decatur as a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He has a broad interest in all aspects of plastic surgery, from hand surgery to cosmetics to wounds. 

    Dr. Ruebhausen is from a small farming community in Southern Illinois. He grew up outdoors, hunting and fishing. He has been delighted to continue those hobbies in and around Decatur. Dr. Ruebhausen enjoys serving the people of central and southern Illinois and was recently voted the #1 Plastic Surgeon in Decatur by the readers of the Decatur Herald and Review.
