Why they chose SIU
I chose SIU because of it's nationally recognized surgical education program. It offers a blend of academic and community training and has 2 level 1 trauma centers - I'm confident that I will receive strong training. The residents were all so kind and geniune - it was obvious over zoom how close-knit they were. I wanted my residency training to be strong, holistic, and fun and I felt that I would get all of that SIU.
