First Quarterly Patient Experience Award Presented to OBGYN

Published Date:

Each quarter, a traveling trophy will be awarded to a clinical department to recognize the most improvement in patient experience scores from the previous quarter. Designed to encourage teams to work together to improve the patient experience across SIU Medicine, the first award was presented to the team that improved patient satisfaction scores the most when comparing Q4 2018 to Q1 2019.

The first award was presented to the obstetrics and gynecology department, which includes general OB, uro-gynecology, gyn-oncology, and reproductive endocrinology, recognizing the team’s efforts in improving the patient experience for the first quarter of 2019.

OBGYN Team - Quarterly Patient Experience Award Winner

The Quarterly Patient Experience Award is based on Press Ganey questions, patients rate us on a 5-point Likert scale, related to:

  • What is the likelihood to recommend SIU Medicine
  • The patient’s perception on how well the staff worked together
  • The promptness SIU Medicine returned their calls
  • Patient wait time at the clinic – the patient’s perception related to a long wait time in the office

The next award will be presented in August 2019.
