Primary Responsibilities

My primary responsibility for the Department of Population Science and Policy is to assist in research aimed at improving health outcomes in central and southern Illinois.

About

I earned my bachelor’s degree in anthropology in May 2015 from the State University of New York at Potsdam. After completing my program, I worked as a substance-abuse counselor for two years. After my first year, I decided to continue my education and pursue a master's degree in community health at the State University of New York at Potsdam, which I finished in May 2018. During my master’s program, I completed my thesis which examined the implementation process of a needle exchange program for a rural county in New York. My research interests include substance abuse, nutrition, health disparities, and looking at rural health systems.
