About me
Sarah Graham Majcina, M.D., is a Pediatric Hospitalist who cares for children admitted to the general and intermediate care inpatient units and the emergency department at HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at SIU School of Medicine. She joined the faculty in August of 2014. Before joining SIU, Majcina worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist for Washington University at St. Louis Children’s Hospital from 2010-2014. There she cared for patients in the general inpatient ward, well baby and special care nurseries, and emergency department. She provided newborn resuscitation at high risk deliveries and participated in procedural sedation services.
Dr. Sarah Majcina completed her residency in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., in 2010 after earning her medical degree at SIU School of Medicine in Springfield (2007). She received a bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis (2001). She worked as a Certified Child Life Specialist from 2001-2003 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She is a Board Certified pediatrician by the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
