Kim J Hodgson, MD - New Vice President of the Society for Vascular Surgery
Kim J Hodgson, MD, has been elected to the position of Vice President of the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), the premiere vascular surgical society in the world. Founded in 1947 and now with over 5,600 members, the SVS mission is to advance excellence and innovation in vascular health. In electing him to this position the Nominating Committee referenced his leadership and sustained contributions to the field of Vascular Surgery over his 30-year career. Dr. Hodgson is Professor and Chairman of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at SIU and holds the David Sumner Endowed Chair. His role as SVS Vice-President would be expected to culminate in him becoming President of the organization in 2019.
