Abhinay Walia, MD

Dr. Walia is from Toronto, Canada so naturally, he is a big fan of The Weeknd and anything Marvel. He loves to travel, and collect vinyl records, and recently he has become interested in polaroids.

Dr. Walia picked SIU Family Medicine Residency Program Decatur after meeting their residents during the National AAFP Conference. Their small class sizes, ability to tailor his residency training to his preferences and the faculty's open-door policy created a safe and fun learning environment where he felt comfortable asking for help.
