Dr. Chávez has been in full-time clinical practice in neurosurgery since 2002. Previously, Chávez served on active duty in the United States Army from 1988-2000, and in the United States Public Health Service from 2000-2002.
Chávez has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Government from Columbia College, a Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska, and a Doctoral Degree in Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg.
