Amber Fifer, PharmD, ACRP-CP
Amber Fifer, PharmD, ACRP-CP is a research assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at SIU School of Medicine’s Center for Clinical Research (2014). She also serves as the neurology department’s director of clinical research. Dr. Fifer has an adjunct appointment as a clinical assistant professor for SIU-Edwardsville School of Pharmacy (2014). She is also a board member for the Springfield Committee for Research Involving Human Subjects (SCRIHS) and a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), and the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP). Dr. Fifer earned both her doctor of pharmacy and bachelor’s degree at St. Louis College of Pharmacy (1997, 1996).
Before joining SIU, Dr. Fifer served as the investigational drug pharmacist at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield (2009-14). She also served as St. John’s interim pharmacy clinical coordinator (2011-12) and as a clinical pharmacist for the nutrition support team (2002-06). Dr. Fifer worked as a pharmacist in the Surgical/Burn/Trauma ICU at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Pharmacy (1997-2000) in St. Louis, Mo.
