Why did you choose SIU Hand Fellowship? The main draw was the faculty with their reputation for being excellent 1-on-1 teachers and the camaraderie and esprit de corps that the program is known for. Also, the program makes available to the Hand Fellow a variety of resources outside of the operating room, be it the microsurgery lab or dedicated research support staff, that makes for a well rounded academic experience.

Would you choose it again? And why? Yes. There is a true drive to make the Fellow an independent clinician in the field of Hand Surgery and that matters.
