Department of Population Science and Policy Receives Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois Grant

Project will address children’s knowledge about nutrition and nutrition-related diseases. Dec. 16, 2019, Springfield, IL – Southern Illinois University School of Medicine Department of Population Science and Policy (PSP), a nontraditional academic medical department aiming to understand and advance health, development and wellness in central and southern Illinois, is the recipient of a $45,000 “Healthy Kids Healthy Families” grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. 30th Annual Trainee Research Symposium--Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows

Friday, April 17, 2020, 8:30 a.m. Springfield Campus Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows are invited to submit scholarly research abstracts for presentation at the 2020 Trainee Research Symposium. Participants must be first author, and the work must have been conducted under the guidance of an SIU faculty member. A subcommittee will review each abstract and assign an oral or a poster presentation to the trainee. Further information and directions are available on the ADR website. 30th Annual Trainee Research Symposium--Medical Students, Residents and Fellows

Wednesday, April 15, 2020, 8 a.m. Springfield Campus Medical students, residents, and clinical fellows are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at the 2020 Trainee Research Symposium. Scholarly activities eligible for consideration include all Original Research (hypothesis-driven discovery/translational/clinical studies) as well as clinically significant Case Vignettes (case reports). Quality improvement projects are NOT eligible. Presenting trainees must be first author and the work must have been conducted under the guidance of SIU faculty member(s).
