Diagnostic Radiology resident receives RSNA award

Chief Resident Dr. Thomas Massutti recently received the RSNA Roentgen Research Award for his research project: “Development & Implementation of a Wellbeing Curriculum in Promoting Wellness and Professional Success for Radiology Residents – The Radiology Wellness Initiative (RWI)”

Dr. Massutti is a 2024 graduate of the SIU School of Medicine Diagnostic Radiology program.

The RSNA award recognizes outstanding residents and fellows who have participated in advanced research for radiology. 

Winners of the award have their work published in peer-reviewed journals, have received a grant and presented their work at a regional and national level.

J. Ricardo Loret de Mola, MD, has been named the recipient of the 2025 Outstanding District Service Award by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
