One in 3 seniors die with dementia, more than breast and prostate cancers combined. More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease. The Alzheimer’s Association projects it will affect about 13 million of us by 2050. Each September, the SIU Medicine community recognizes World Alzheimer's Month. Traditions Return: Division of Orthopedic Surgery hosts annual lecture

The Division of Orthopedic Surgery was delighted to host the 38th Annual E. Shannon Stauffer Visiting Professor Lectureship at an in-person gathering on June 24, 2022. This year’s visiting professor was Dr. Daniel Oakes, Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and the Director of the USC Joint Replacement Program.
