For more than 34 years, Amy Jackson has cared for children in her Springfield home—her own kids, her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nephews and many others as a trusted daycare provider. When you’re a referee, you’re trained to keep your eye on the ball. For Jackie Slayback of Heyworth, Ill., that focus shifted from the court to her own body as she struggled with pelvic discomfort that affected her daily routine and confidence. Then Jackie found support from the team at SIU Medicine's Pelvic Wellness Center. Now she feels empowered and grateful to have her quality of life back.
