2015-2016 Outstanding Coordinator of the Year Award

Tina Hartwig, program coordinator at Decatur Family & Community Medicine, was nominated for and awarded the 2016 Outstanding Coordinator Award. Hartwig has been in this role for over eight years.

This will be an annual award sponsored by the Office of Residency Affairs and given to a GME program coordinator. The coordinator must be in this role for a minimum of one year, and must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and behavioral standards of SIU School of Medicine. A committee meets to review the nominations and select an award winner. 

The award winner consistently demonstrates the following behaviors:

* provides excellent service to internal and external contacts;
* displays compassion, respect, integrity, and accountability in their work;
* promotes diversity and inclusion;
* seeks continuous learning and improvement opportunities; and
* consistently meets deadlines.
