The new SIU primary care clinic will open on Jan. 15 and will initially be located in the Specialty Clinic space, near the nonprofit hospital’s Laboratory and Rehab Services departments. The Department of Population Science and Policy is collaborating with education faculty and staff to provide students with up-close, experiential learning activities. In addition to offering resource sessions centered on our three divisions, the education team is also able to introduce students to a vast number of projects in which they can assist. Dr. Ricardo Loret de Mola and Dr. Kanako Hayashi were honored with the award for the best poster at the 4 th European Congress on Endometriosis in Vienna, Austria. Family physicians in nine Illinois communities are hosting students from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine November 26–December 21. The students are participating in the school’s Family Medicine Preceptorship Program.
