Leonard Goldner Pioneer Research Award for their grant proposal: “LGR+ Stem Cells Augment Osteogenesis on Bone Defect Scaffolds.” The grant was a collaborative effort by Austin Beason, MD (Orthopedic Surgery, PGY-3), Carrie Harrison and Michelle Randle (both from the Plastic Surgery Research Laboratory), and Jacob Franke (third-year medical student).
