Core Students will spend approximately four weeks with a practicing family physician. Students will provide patient care in both the ambulatory and hospital setting under the direct supervision of the preceptor. Each student is expected to participate, as fully as possible, in the day-to-day activities of the preceptor. The structure of the Year 3 neurology clerkship consists of two weeks of inpatient service experiences and outpatient clinic rotations. The specialty areas in neurology include Alzheimer’s Disease, Epilepsy, Neuroimmunology, Neuromuscular Medicine, Neuropathology, Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders, and Vascular Neurology, (Stroke).
