Physiology Developmental Biology Research

The Division of Molecular and Integrative Physiology includes basic research in developmental biology ranging from the early uterine mechanisms necessary for implantation and growth of the embryo to the complex molecular programming of cells in the development of organ systems. Physiology faculty investigate molecular, genetic, cellular and integrative aspects of the development of the central nervous system, stereocilia of the inner hair cells of the ear, pituitary gland, placenta as well as male and female reproductive tracts.
