Training and Using Standardized Patients for Teaching and Assessment

This workshop is designed to teach participants to recruit, train, and supervise the performance of standardized patients for both teaching and assessment. In addition to the strong focus on basic standardized patient training skills, case/checklist development and program maintenance will be covered. The workshop will be largely experiential with standardized patients being trained and cases written. The workshop will culminate on the final day with a dry run of the cases developed during the workshop.
