Student evaluations are determined by the following components:
- Two history and physical examinations on selected patients, (inpatient or outpatient)
- Two oral case presentations
- One Faculty observed Clinical Skills Examination, (CSE), of a patient in the clinical setting
- Attendance
- Professionalism
- On-The-Fly Assessments completed by Faculty or other members of the heath care team
The clerkship team is eager to see students who demonstrate:
- Intellectual curiosity
- Coachability
- A high level of engagement and involvement in patient care activities
- The ability to integrate into the medical team as a fellow care provider
