Fall Family Festival at Enos Elementary School

Students from SIU School of Medicine will host an annual Fall Family Festival at Enos Elementary School, 524 West Elliott Ave., beginning at 5PM on Tuesday evening, Sept. 17. The classrooms and hallways will be hopping as SIU learners and educators share important tips on dental care, handwashing, sun protection, ways to stay fit and more. Lots of hands-on activities to hold young attention spans, and guests can register to win a variety of gift baskets.

Fielding Resilience: Identifying and Supporting Struggling Farmers

PARTICIPANTS WILL: • Discuss challenges facing producers and their family members. • Identify signs of depression, anxiety, and suicidality. • Explore triage for suicidality. • Learn resources available to producers, their families, and those who work with producers. REGISTER HOSTED BY: Dr. Nick Weshinskey, a licensed professional educator in the state of Illinois who also holds national board certification in counseling.
