The ADR Office of Grants and Contracts reviews and processes subcontracts for vendors or other educational institutions that are associated with grant awards.
Also, there is referral to SIUSOM Legal for review to ensure legal compliance, proper formatting and securement of their approval.
ADR also reviews and processes subcontract amendments.
If the cost for services is less than $20,000 (Illinois Procurement Code), a subcontract is not required and and a memoranda of understanding must be exchanged between the PI and vendor to identify the work to be completed by the vendor.
ADR does not need to be consulted on these.
