The SIU Family Medicine Residency Program - Decatur meets the health care needs of our patients and the people of Decatur and surrounding communities by creating a compassionate, affordable and accessible health care and teaching environment.

Who we are

Welcome to the SIU Family Medicine Residency Program - Decatur.  We serve Decatur, Illinois and the surrounding central Illinois communities. Residents are based at the SIU Center for Family Medicine - Decatur, which is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Our residents will experience taking care of patients in the inpatient, outpatient, and nursing home settings. Our goal is to provide a balanced full scope Family Medicine educational experience to each resident.
