Flow Cytometry Facility

Welcome to the SIU Medicine Flow Cytometry Facility. We provide acquisition, analysis, and sorting of cells, as well as training and expert consultation for project/experiment planning. We serve SIUM faculty as well as outside customers. The facility has 2 analyzers, 1 sorter, and a multiplex analyzer. To get started, please contact our staff for an appointment or to schedule a consultation. What is Flow Cytometry? Flow cytometry is a method of measuring multiple physical and chemical characteristics of single cells or particles as they travel in suspension one by one past a sensing point

Educational Services • Assistance with gathering needs assessment data • Assist course directors in developing course objectives • ACCME credit designation • Design and summarizing conference evaluations • Retain course and attendance files for a minimum of seven years • Ensure that each course meets the ACCME Criteria and Standards • Manage commercial support and other external course revenue Conference Planning Assistance • Serve as course registrar • Identifying date conflicts with SIU School of Medicine • Assistance with developing the course budget • Completing ancillary credit

FREE CME Participants will be able to: •Make high quality, effective recommendations for HPV vaccination as cancer prevention for every 11 or 12-year-old patient. •Assess HPV vaccine coverage for each provider in your practice and develop an office-wide strategy to improve it. •Implement systems strategies to improve HPV vaccine coverage. •Engage the entire practice, not just the healthcare providers, in committing to improve HPV vaccine coverage.
