The SIU Alton Family Medicine Residency Program is happy to offer some upcoming residency program informational sessions via Webex. Please join Program Director, Dr. M. Rebecca Hoffman selected for ADFM LEADS Fellowship

M. Rebecca Hoffman, MD, MSPH, program director for the SIU Alton Family Medicine Residency Program, was selected as a LEADS Fellow for the 2020-21 year. The LEADS fellowship (Leadership Education for Academic Development and Success) is sponsored by the Association of Departments of Family Medicine (ADFM), the national group of family medicine department chairs and senior faculty. It is a 1-year national program designed for faculty who are exploring department chair or other senior academic family medicine roles. On March 17, 2020, public schools closed across the state of Illinois in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19. As of March 27, 2020, 1.5 billion children worldwide were impacted by school closures. With these closures, many schools quickly transitioned to remote learning. 2020 Wesley Baas 2019 Josh Ring 2018 Daniel Sadowski The urology residency program at SIU provided me with comprehensive training in all aspects of urology. I am now working as a general urologist in a private practice in Rockford, Illinois. My preparation from SIU allows me to care for all adult and pediatric general urology needs, with a special interest in andrology. The smaller program at SIU offers a more personal experience and faculty can tailor their instruction for each resident. The diversity and volume of surgical cases during my residency was excellent.
