A shotgun start will begin the game at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7, at The Rail Golf Course, 1400 S. Club House Dr., Springfield. H.D. Smith is the presenting sponsor of the four-person scramble. Applications for the 2023 summer lab internships at Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU School of Medicine are being accepted through February 27. Four positions will be awarded on a competitive basis to qualified college students who plan a career in medicine or research with a focus on cancer.

Each October, Simmons Cancer Institute (SCI) at SIU, features a presentation called “Faces of Hope" at the Annual Denim & Diamonds Gala, the institute's primary fundraising event. Photos of approximately 30 cancer survivors flash across the screen to music to raise funds for cancer research, patient programs, and the growing needs of our patient population. Please bring the child who will be riding in the car seat, the vehicle's owner's manual, and the car seat instruction manual, if possible. Car seat checks take approximately 30 minutes.
